New machines aim to save more lungs for Life-Saving transplants
NCT ID NCT07361718
Summary
This study is testing two different medical devices that are used to prepare and improve lungs from 'marginal' donors—those that are not ideal but could still be used—before a transplant. The goal is to see which machine helps get more of these lungs accepted for surgery. Researchers will also track how long patients need breathing support after surgery and their survival rates.
