New chest therapy tested to help ventilated patients breathe easier
NCT ID NCT07451405
Summary
This study is comparing two different chest therapy techniques to see which one works better at re-expanding collapsed lung tissue in patients who have been on breathing machines for a long time. Researchers will enroll 60 adult patients in China who have a tracheostomy and significant mucus problems. They will use special scans to measure how much the lung tissue improves after 10 days of treatment.
