First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at 350 people having lung surgery for cancer. After surgery, the collapsed lung needs to be re-inflated. Doctors want to see if using a machine that controls air pressure and volume is better than the usual manual method. The goal is to find which technique causes fewer lung problems like pneumonia or collapsed lung tissue in the first week after surgery.
