Did COVID change how we breathe for patients in surgery?
NCT ID NCT06821139
Summary
This study looked at how often hospitals in a large Canadian health region followed guidelines for safer breathing support during surgery. Researchers reviewed the medical records of 28,700 adults who had non-heart surgery between 2014 and 2023. They wanted to see if the use of this protective technique changed during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
