Surgery speed test: new dye vs. old radiation for pinpointing lung spots

NCT ID NCT06957600

Summary

This study tested two different methods to help surgeons find small lung spots during minimally invasive surgery. Researchers compared a newer method using a special green dye guided by a camera in the airway against an older method using a tiny amount of radioactive material guided by a CT scan. They wanted to see which method helped surgeons complete the operation faster and remove the spots more completely.
