New imaging combo aims to sharpen lung biopsy accuracy
NCT ID NCT06505642
First seen Apr 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 06, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a special microscope (nCLE) to a standard lung biopsy procedure can better confirm that the biopsy needle is inside a lung nodule. About 25 adults with suspicious lung nodules will have two needle punctures, each followed by both nCLE imaging and a CT scan for comparison. The goal is to see if the new method matches the CT results, which could improve future diagnostic accuracy.
