New MRI technique could spot lung disease changes without X-Rays

NCT ID NCT07300696

First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special MRI scan can detect different types of interstitial lung disease (ILD) and track how they change over time. About 200 adults with ILD will get MRI scans alongside standard CT scans. The goal is to see if MRI can replace some CT scans and give clearer information about disease activity, without using radiation.
