First seen Mar 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at the bacteria living in the lungs of people with a chronic lung condition called bronchiectasis who may also have an NTM infection. Researchers will collect sputum and airway samples from 200 participants to compare the bacteria in those with and without active NTM disease. The goal is to find bacterial patterns that could help diagnose or understand NTM disease better.
