New scan seeks hidden cause of long COVID breathlessness
NCT ID NCT05441657
Summary
This study aimed to better understand why some people have ongoing shortness of breath after COVID-19, known as long COVID. Researchers used a special, non-invasive imaging technique to take pictures of how the lungs fill with air in 100 people with long COVID and 50 healthy people. The goal was to see if this scan could detect lung changes that other standard tests might miss.
