First seen Jun 26, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study will check the lung health of 50 adults who finished treatment for tuberculosis (TB) in Liverpool, UK, about one year after their treatment ended. Participants will take a breathing test and answer questions about their health and wellbeing. The goal is to find out how many people have lasting lung problems after TB, so researchers can design better follow-up care and future treatments.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this study could show how many TB survivors in the UK have lasting lung issues, paving the way for better follow-up care and treatments.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early observational study with only 50 participants in one city, so results may not apply to everyone. It does not test any new treatment.
