Researchers track how drug affects breathing and cough in scarred lungs

NCT ID NCT05503030

Summary

This study aimed to understand the relationship between changes in lung function and changes in symptoms like cough and shortness of breath. It observed 88 patients in Greece with connective tissue disease-related progressive lung scarring who were already prescribed the drug nintedanib. The goal was to see if improvements in breathing tests over two years correlated with improvements in patient-reported symptoms and quality of life.
