Common drugs may shield lungs from cancer treatment damage

Summary

This study aims to see if adding two existing drugs, pentoxifylline and vitamin E, to standard lung cancer treatment can reduce lung damage caused by radiation therapy. Researchers will enroll 150 adults with stage III lung cancer who are receiving chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy. The goal is to lower the risk of serious lung inflammation and improve patients' quality of life during and after treatment.
