New radiation technique tested to control spreading lung cancer

NCT ID NCT07193641

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a specialized type of radiation called spatially fractionated radiotherapy (SFRT) to a patient's standard drug treatment can better control advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to a few new spots. It aims to see if this combination helps keep the cancer from growing longer than standard drugs alone. The trial will enroll about 25 adults whose cancer progressed after at least one prior line of drug therapy.
