New combo therapy tested to fight back when lung cancer returns

Summary
This study is for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer whose cancer started growing again outside the brain after initial treatment with osimertinib. It tests whether continuing osimertinib while adding standard chemotherapy works better and controls the cancer longer than chemotherapy alone. About 98 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug combination or chemotherapy with a placebo pill.
