New trial aims to ditch chemo for advanced lung cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT07146230
Summary
This study is testing a new approach for patients with a specific type of advanced lung cancer. Instead of starting with harsh chemotherapy and radiation, patients first receive a combination of two immunotherapy drugs to help their own immune system attack the cancer. After this, they receive a shorter, more personalized course of radiation, aiming to control the disease with fewer side effects.
