New cocktail for inoperable lung cancer shows promise in early trial

Summary
This study tested a three-part treatment for people with stage III lung cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. The treatment combined standard chemotherapy (cisplatin and etoposide) with radiation, followed by two additional drugs (docetaxel and bevacizumab) to try to kill more cancer cells. The goal was to see if this approach is safe and can help control the disease. A total of 29 newly diagnosed patients took part.
