New drug combo shows promise for tough lung cancers

Summary
This study tested whether adding erlotinib to docetaxel chemotherapy helps people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer live longer without their disease getting worse. 156 adults whose cancer returned after initial treatment took part. Results focused on progression-free survival at 15 weeks and overall survival at 12 months.
