Doctors test if reusing a biopsy needle affects lung cancer staging

NCT ID NCT07418450

Summary

This study aims to see if changing the biopsy needle between lymph nodes during a standard lung cancer staging procedure makes the results more accurate. Researchers will compare results from two rounds of the same procedure—one where the needle is changed and one where it is not—in 30 patients. The goal is to improve the reliability of determining how far lung cancer has spread.
