First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study looks at whether people with unexplained weight loss who are at high risk for lung cancer are more likely to have or develop the disease. Researchers will use low-dose CT scans and blood tests to find lung cancer earlier. The goal is to improve survival by catching cancer at an earlier stage. About 409 participants aged 50-80 with a heavy smoking history and 3-10% unexplained weight loss will take part.
