NCT ID NCT07478757

First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study aims to see if low-dose CT scans can help find lung cancer early and reduce deaths in high-risk smokers. About 15,000 current or former heavy smokers aged 50-79 in Hong Kong will be randomly assigned to get either regular CT scans or standard care. The main goal is to compare lung cancer death rates between the two groups over up to 10 years.
