First seen Nov 24, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving doctors access to a blood test called FirstLook (which looks for DNA fragments linked to lung cancer) would encourage more eligible patients to get screened. The study involved 28 primary care practices and patients who were at high risk for lung cancer but had not been screened recently. The goal was to see if the blood test option increased overall screening rates compared to standard care.
