Summary

This study is testing how to best set up a national lung cancer screening program in Germany. It will enroll over 12,000 current and former smokers aged 55-79 to compare different methods of identifying high-risk people and using CT scans to find cancer early. The goal is to create a practical and effective screening system that can be widely used.
