NCT ID NCT05997225
Summary
This study tested whether a more proactive approach could help retired firefighters quit smoking and prevent lung cancer. Researchers compared a standard quit-smoking program against an enhanced program that automatically enrolled people and used personalized counseling based on their lung scan results. The goal was to see which method worked better to get people into treatment and help them successfully stop smoking.
