Lung wash fluid may spot cancer genes without surgery
NCT ID NCT06301295
First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether fluid washed from inside the lungs during a bronchoscopy can find genetic changes in early-stage lung cancer. About 50 adults with suspected lung cancer will have this fluid tested with advanced genetic sequencing. The goal is to see if this method is as accurate as standard tissue or blood tests, potentially offering a less invasive way to guide treatment.
