New hope for lung cancer patients after standard treatment stops working

Summary

This study is testing an investigational drug called telisotuzumab adizutecan for people with a specific type of advanced lung cancer (EGFR-mutated non-squamous NSCLC) whose cancer has continued to grow despite treatment with a modern targeted therapy. The goal is to see if this new drug can better control the cancer and help people live longer compared to the current standard treatments. About 430 participants worldwide will be randomly assigned to receive either the new drug or standard care, and researchers will closely monitor how the cancer responds and any side effects.
