New drug duo aims to outsmart resistant lung cancer

NCT ID NCT04606771

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a new drug called savolitinib to a patient's current lung cancer medication (osimertinib) can help control the cancer after it has started growing again. It will involve about 30 adults with a specific type of advanced lung cancer. Patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the two-drug combination or savolitinib with a placebo pill, to see which approach works better.
