Summary
This early-stage study tested whether combining two targeted cancer drugs (dacomitinib and osimertinib) is safe for people with advanced lung cancer that has spread and has a specific genetic change (EGFR mutation). The trial involved 22 patients who hadn't previously received this type of targeted treatment. Researchers aimed to find the highest dose patients could tolerate without severe side effects while checking if the combination showed any signs of helping shrink tumors.
