Spinal fluid chemo plus pills: new attack on deadly brain spread from lung cancer

NCT ID NCT06304441

Summary

This trial is testing if a two-part treatment works better than pills alone for a serious complication where lung cancer spreads to the fluid-filled linings of the brain and spinal cord. It will compare standard targeted pills (like osimertinib) against those same pills plus a chemotherapy drug injected directly into the spinal fluid. The goal is to see if the combination better controls the cancer in the nervous system and helps patients live longer.
