Could a simple blood test replace painful biopsies for lung cancer?
NCT ID NCT03265496
Summary
This study aimed to see if a simple blood test (liquid biopsy) could be as accurate as a traditional tissue biopsy for finding specific genetic changes in lung cancer. Researchers compared results from both methods in 21 patients with advanced lung cancer who had not yet started chemotherapy. The goal was to gather knowledge to potentially make cancer testing less invasive in the future.
