Blood tests could revolutionize how doctors detect and monitor lung cancer recurrence

NCT ID NCT05665504

Summary

This study aims to improve lung cancer care by testing whether specific biomarkers in blood and tissue can better diagnose lung nodules, identify patients at high risk of cancer returning after surgery, and detect late recurrence. Researchers will follow 250 adults with suspicious lung nodules who are scheduled for surgery or radiation treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center. The study focuses on observational testing rather than providing new treatments, with the goal of developing better tools for diagnosis and long-term monitoring.
