New device aims to ease breathing and fatigue for scarred lungs

NCT ID NCT06991153

Summary

This study tested whether a 'lung boost' exercise device could help people with interstitial lung disease (ILD), a condition that scars the lungs. Researchers wanted to see if using the device improved breathing tests, reduced severe fatigue, and helped patients walk farther. The study involved 40 female patients with stable ILD to see if this easy-to-use approach could improve their daily life.
