Scientists map lung blood flow during held breath
NCT ID NCT07303972
Summary
This study aims to understand how blood flow in the lungs changes when people hold their breath at different lung volumes. Healthy participants will undergo a non-invasive imaging procedure while holding their breath after inhaling and after exhaling. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about lung physiology that could help improve breathing support for critically ill patients in the future.
