Doctors test which lung biopsy is safest and most accurate
NCT ID NCT07432503
Summary
This study compared three different ways to take small samples of lung tissue (biopsies) to diagnose interstitial lung diseases (ILD), which cause lung scarring. Researchers tested 60 adults with suspected ILD to see which biopsy method provided the clearest diagnosis while causing the fewest complications like bleeding or lung collapse. The goal was to help doctors choose the safest and most effective biopsy technique for their patients.
