New tech may cut radiation risk in major aortic surgery

Summary
This study compares a new guidance system called LumiGuide to standard X-ray guidance during a complex type of aortic aneurysm repair. The goal is to see if LumiGuide reduces the amount of radiation patients are exposed to during the procedure. About 182 adults having this surgery will take part across hospitals in the EU and US.
