Back surgery cage showdown: which design offers better relief?
NCT ID NCT07312747
Summary
This study compares two different cage designs used in lower back fusion surgery for people with severe disc herniation and chronic back pain. It aims to see which cage type—two straight cages placed on both sides or a single curved 'banana' cage placed on one side—leads to better pain relief, faster bone healing, fewer complications, and a quicker recovery. The results will help surgeons choose the best technique for their patients.
