Newer antifungal cream may beat old standard for skin fungus
NCT ID NCT07333170
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a newer antifungal cream (luliconazole) works better than the standard treatment (ketoconazole) for pityriasis versicolor, a common fungal skin infection that causes light or dark patches. About 86 adults with the infection will use one of the two creams for a short time. The goal is to see which cream clears the infection faster and more completely.
