New drug trial aims to put the brakes on devastating brain disease

NCT ID NCT05104476

Summary

This study is testing an investigational drug called Lu AF82422 to see if it can slow down the progression of multiple system atrophy (MSA), a rare and serious brain disorder. About 64 participants with MSA will receive either the drug or a placebo for nearly a year to compare their symptoms and daily function. The main goal is to see if the drug can help patients maintain their abilities longer by slowing the worsening of the disease.
