New Parkinson's drug tested for safety in early human trial

NCT ID NCT04291859

Summary

This early-stage study tested a new drug called Lu AF28996 in people with Parkinson's disease who experience 'off' periods where their regular medications wear off. The main goals were to check if the drug was safe, how well people could tolerate it, and how their bodies processed it. Researchers enrolled 57 participants to take the drug once or twice daily while continuing their standard Parkinson's medications.
