First human tests begin for new stroke treatment
NCT ID NCT04809818
Summary
This early-stage study tested the safety of an experimental drug called LT3001, which is being developed for acute ischemic stroke. Researchers gave the drug to 65 healthy volunteers to check for side effects and see how it interacts with common blood-thinning medications like aspirin and apixaban. The goal was to gather basic safety information before testing in actual stroke patients.
