Blood marker may predict IBD Flare-Ups

NCT ID NCT04535882

First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026

Summary

This study is looking at whether a substance in the blood called LRG can help doctors tell how active ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease is in the gut. Researchers will measure LRG levels in 300 people suspected of having these conditions and compare them with the results of a colonoscopy. The goal is to see if LRG could be a simple, non-invasive marker for disease activity.
