First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests a new mammography machine that uses at least 20% less radiation than standard mammograms while still producing clear images. About 52 women aged 40 and older will get both a traditional mammogram and the new low-dose scan. The goal is to see if the new machine can spot breast problems just as well, especially in women with dense breast tissue.
