Heart valve patients could get safer blood thinner dose in major trial

Summary
This study aims to find the safest dose of the blood thinner warfarin for people with mechanical heart valves. It will test if aiming for a lower blood-thinning level reduces serious bleeding while still preventing dangerous blood clots and strokes. The trial involves over 2,600 adults who have had a specific type of mechanical aortic valve.
