Summary

This study tested whether giving people a low-sodium salt substitute (where some sodium is replaced with potassium) through community health workers could lower blood pressure. About 618 adults in rural Bangladesh took part. The goal was to see if this simple dietary change could help control high blood pressure, a major cause of heart attacks and strokes.
