Could a simple salt swap help control blood pressure safely?
NCT ID NCT07460882
Summary
This study aims to find out if using a low-sodium salt substitute is safe for adults with high blood pressure who are taking medication. Researchers will check if the salt swap causes dangerously high potassium levels or helps correct low potassium. About 600 participants in Bangladesh will replace their regular salt with the substitute in cooking and at the table.
