First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a low-sodium (cardiac) diet is truly necessary for better health in people who have had heart failure. Researchers will track 500 adults hospitalized for heart failure to see how sodium intake affects hospital stay length and the chance of being readmitted within 30 days. The goal is to clarify if restricting salt improves outcomes.
