First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether cutting back on dietary salt can reduce the severity of eczema (atopic dermatitis). Forty adults will follow a low-salt diet for 24 weeks and take either sodium tablets or a placebo to see how salt intake affects their skin. Researchers will measure eczema severity, skin sodium levels, and related biomarkers through clinic visits and MRI scans.
