Scientists zap volunteers with laser to study heart rhythms

NCT ID NCT07369843

Summary

This study aims to understand if a gentle, low-power laser—a type of non-invasive therapy sometimes used for pain—can affect a person's heart rate and the part of the nervous system that controls it. Researchers will recruit 45 healthy volunteers and monitor their heart signals while applying the laser. They will also test if numbing the skin changes the response to learn more about how the body reacts.
