Virtual market tests if Low-Nicotine rules push smokers to illegal cigarettes
NCT ID NCT07161050
Summary
This study aims to understand how making cigarettes very low in nicotine, along with changes in e-cigarette and illegal cigarette prices, might affect what people buy. Researchers will use a virtual marketplace to see if these policies lead to more purchases of illegal cigarettes or a switch to other products like e-cigarettes. The study involves about 70 adult smokers who will complete shopping scenarios in a lab.
