Can 'Light' cigarettes help expectant mothers cut back?
NCT ID NCT04033237
Summary
This study tested whether switching pregnant women who smoke to cigarettes with very low nicotine helps them smoke fewer cigarettes each day. Thirty pregnant smokers were randomly assigned to either keep smoking their regular brand or switch to special low-nicotine cigarettes for 12 weeks. Researchers tracked how many cigarettes they smoked daily to see if the low-nicotine option helped reduce smoking.
