Gentler breathing machines in surgery aim to protect lungs

NCT ID NCT07277244

Summary

This study is testing if using gentler settings on the breathing machine during long robotic surgeries can help protect patients' lungs. It will compare a new set of gentle breathing techniques to the usual care in 60 adults having major robotic surgery. The main goal is to see if this approach reduces lung collapse during surgery and breathing problems afterward.
